Text Message Hi Everyone, Thanks for taking a few minutes to read about the latest happenings with the Walkers. 2010 is very much underway. We have had a busy year thus far beginning with the busiest January that we have ever had in our 18 year history. Normally, January is a slow month for us. It is almost like an extension of December. It takes people and churches a little bit of time to leave the holiday mode and get back into the swing of normalcy. As previous years, it was that way this year as well but from Jan 13-31 we were in service 17 times including 2 great revivals in Raleigh and Sanford, NC. We finally saw some great January weather in NC as well. At the same time last year, we had temps in the teens with 8" of snow and this year we saw temp's in the low 60's. We had the opportunity to be in service and say good bye to a dear pastor friend, Marshall Norris of the Rockingham, NC Church of God of Prophecy. Pastor had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year and passed away in March. A dear friend and a great man left us here, but Heaven has a fantastic addition. We have known him and his family since 1998. We ask for your prayers for his wife and son. March has been a difficult time physically for our family. We have had several bugs that have passed through the family from one person to the other. Mom had to make an ER visit for extremely high blood pressure. It took several hours for them to feel comfortable enough to release her. She is scheduled for a second EKG next week. It also is spring time and you what that means - pollen, pollen, pollen. I washed our vehicles the day before we left on this tour March 25th and when we ran home for a few hours last Saturday on the way to Ft. Myers, FL from Montgomery, AL, it looked like someone had painted the cars a shade of fluorescent yellow. That has brought a few extra vocal challenges for us but we are getting through it. We are getting set to leave for our 3 month tour that will start out on April 23 in Panama City, FL and will take us to LA, MS, TX, OK, MO, IA, MI, WI, IL, IN and TN before we come home. We will be logging some serious miles at 5.5 miles per gallon with prices already at 3+ dollars a gallon. Don't forget about Harvest Partners. We could really use the help. In case you don’t know about our Harvest Partners program, it is where people become partners in prayer and in finances every month. Every partner is 3 gallons of diesel to get down the road with the news of Jesus Christ. It is a great way to help keep us on the field and the donations are tax deductible. I tell people that everyday there are evangelists forced off the field and the number one reason is lack of finance. I can honestly say that with each passing year and month it becomes more and more difficult for us as well. For more info about Harvest Partners, log on to www.thewalkersonline.com and click on the "Tour" tab. The dropdown will take you to H. P. Also there of course you will find our touring schedule, news and other info about our ministry and family. We love you all and hope to see you somewhere soon. In His Service, Billy
